In EatingWell Serves Two, the award-winning editors and recipe developers for America's leading food and nutrition magazine have created 150 dinner recipes from their hugely popular "Healthy in a Hurry" and "Serves Two" columns to meet the specific needs of smaller households.
More than a cookbook, EatingWell Serves Two provides a smart guide for how to shop in small quantities, how to store leftover ingredients, keep a well-stocked pantry and use easy cooking strategies that result in minimal waste while putting a healthy, delicious meal on the table in 45 minutes or less.
Filled with mouthwatering photography and tips on shopping, planning and simple cooking for two with healthy ingredients and without waste. Full-color throughout. | | | Features: | |

Easy, quick & healthy recipesNov 19, 2009 I was so tired of cooking for 4 when it is just me! I decided to get a cookbook for 2 so that I could still have 1 portion of leftovers. I've made about 5 recipes since I received the book a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed them all. The portion sizes are just right and nothing I've made takes too long - perfect for after a long day at work!

Eating Well cookbooksOct 05, 2009 I returned this purchase, as I bought it for a single man, and it was too complicated and the recipes not appropriate for a 20 something man living alone. It would be more useful for a newly married couple, or "empty nesters".

Finally!!Sep 30, 2009 FINALLY a decent "healthy cooking" cookbook for a two person household!! I haven't yet tried the recipes in this book (but I'm making a list.) I have "The Eating Well Diet" and "The Essential Eating Well" cookbooks. I also subscribe to the magazine. So far, the recipes have all worked. I HIGHLY recommend any of these cookbooks as well as the magazine. I purchased my sister a gift subscription to the magazine; she now also has several of the cookbooks.

Healthy food that tastes great!Sep 17, 2009 Now that the kids have left for college, I was looking for a cookbook that would be good for just two people. My husband's health coach recommended this book to him. Meanwhile, I had already found it & ordered it. If you like Cooking Light magazine, then this is the cookbook for you. It has lots of delicious recipes. We've been using it for nearly a month now & have only disliked one recipe so far. If you don't like to cook with a lot of different spices, then you won't like this book. All of these recipes are quick & easy, so you don't have to be a gourmet cook. They can easily be made for week night meals after you get home form work. Awesome cookbook!!!

Typeface is WAY too smallJul 06, 2009 Unfortunately this one is going to the used book store without being read. The typeface is way too small and the sidebars even smaller. I get a headache when trying to read such small type. This being a cookbook, I was shocked to see this problem.
I gave it 4 stars because I'm sure the content is wonderful, but I'll never know.
Are all the EatingWell cookbooks this way? I'm very disappointed.
Edit: 11/06/09
I finally bought stronger reading specks and got to check this book out. I only thumbed through it and didn't spend more than an hour with it, as it had nothing in it that caught my eye. The beginning sections are basic and anyone with any common sense already knows all their "tips". I changed my rating to 2 stars. Only a couple of the recipes looked good to me because I see nothing healthy in most of them. I would imagine "healthy" is subjective terminology and is only determined by how far you wish to take it. This book is a throwaway for me not only for the small typeface but also for the content. I will steer clear of Eating Well cookbooks in the future.
